This year's IEP was a bit O hell with sugar on top. Actually, this team hasn't been easy to work with at all. The school really wanted to give E so much less than she deserved. I think this experience has changed me. I think I want to get certified and help parents navigate the IEP hell.
The year started off poorly with them wanting to change her placement and switch her to a program that was really not for her. In that program there wasn't one child that could talk there wasn't any interaction between the children it was awful. They finally came around and in the fall she will be going to a room that has a much more class like feel to it but is slower paced than the typicl class she is in right now.
